Our story. Our Why.
Hi there, Steve and Kayla here, we are quintessentially the definition of the average jo family of 5. With three beautiful kids in tow, we are just a family with a dream to travel this big island we call home, explore as much as we can and learn some things along the way.
The idea of hitting the road, was let's say very spontaneous, something that we have always wanted to do, but have never truly thought it could be possible for us, with work commitments lingering in our minds, for me (Kayla) working in Health Admin and Steve Running his own Painting busines. Another limitation we thought we had was the lack of dollars sitting in the bank to fund the trip, so of course it just didn’t seem to be in reach.
After a big couple of years with having babies, heart breaking family loss and together just knowing we needed a clear break from the hustle and bustle of normal life aka ‘the grind’ and thinking for our family it would be the break we need to initiate the life reset required to spark back up or lives.
With Steve successfully running his own business, owning the home we built and leaving the community with have grown in, it was a massive decision to make. I was on maternity leave at the time, we simply looked at each other and said ‘let’s do it, let’s just go’. So, beginning of 2022 we started planning, we put the house on the market, which sold with in 4 days (so overwhelming), we packed up everything we own (sold come things) and are moved into a caravan to live life on the road, and off we went lapping AUS!!!
During the first month on our trip, we made a conscious decision to start to think outside the box when it comes to finding a way to earn the coin while we travel. We obviously had money from the sale of our home, but we didn't want to chip into the savings for our home deposit for wherever we ended up.
The general expenses added up, as they did back at home, this encouraged us to jump on the wagon, and learn what's known as the 'Laptop Lifestyle'.
We are now travelling this great land, with laptop in hand and earning insane commissions with uncapped earning potential that could completely replace both our incomes.
We could not be happier and more in control of our mindset and our life.
We get to experience all Aus has to offer with our little people and feel the sense of fulfillment from learning new things and earning money at the same time, what more could you want.

We are a strong family unit and are always growing within ourselves, always showing our kids there is more to life, Steve and I together embarking on this exciting journey both travelling and creating financial freedom, we are again growing in ways we didn't think possible, whilst proving to ourselves we can do whatever want, when we want!!!
We have always been the people who keep to ourselves and don't generally jump out of our comfort zone, we always held back when it comes to the big leap... not this time, this time we let go and jumped into the unknown.
Amongst it all we are raising 3 crazy, wild, smart, (did I say crazy) beautiful kids. They are the everything to us, to be able to give them this experience of travelling at this the ages they are, they will experience things most kids will never in their lifetime, and we are forever grateful.
We do intend to return to a home base one day where-ever that may be, and when we do, we will have evolved as a family and I can't wait to see those little cherubs run the world, it's defiantly a great feeling knowing that the financial freedom will still be with us when we stop as well which is so cool. I will not have to return to working a 9-5 and can be by my kid's side all through their next chapter in life and have time to explore new avenues of new interest for myself which is excites me.
All in all I want to get through to people just like me, who want to get as much out of life as you can, don't hold back, don't let your fears hold you back and take over your thought pattern. You do You!! Its the best way to really feel the happiness in life.
